Iberlayer bets on authentic green energy
Today energy consumption is no longer just an economic problem but also a first-order ecological one. Taking care of our planet is no longer a matter of common sense: it has become an obligation.
Pollution and global warming affect us all and it is therefore everyone's task to fight them. At Iberlayer we are not oblivious to the problem and, with the intention and enthusiasm to do our bit, we have switched to solar green energy.
Iberlayer has opted for a powerful self-generation installation with solar panels that gives our headquarters 300% of the power needed to cover normal daily consumption, charge the employees' electric vehicles and meet our growth expectations.
Thanks to this small big step we avoid releasing approximately 7 tonnes of CO₂ a year into the atmosphere compared to generating that electricity with gas, and approximately 17.5 tonnes compared to coal.
Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan
The Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan is part of the temporary NextGenerationEU instrument approved by the European Parliament and the Council to stimulate recovery. The Plan revolves around four main axes: ecological transition, digital transformation, social and territorial cohesion and gender equality.
Iberlayer is involved in component 7. Action: installation of 14 solar panels of 450 Wp and an 8 kW three-phase inverter with a Smart Power Meter monitoring system.
